Operation Adeo Appeal for Information

The Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit are investigating the Murder of Conor Kinlan which occurred on Friday 23rd of January 2026 in Peterborough.


Details of Incident

At around midday on Friday the 23rd January 2026 an incident occurred on the banks of the River Nene between the two rail bridges at the back of Railword at Pleasure Fair Meadow Road in Peterborough.
The day following the incident the body of Conor Kinlan, 30, of no fixed address, was found in the River by Police dive teams.
On Friday the 23rd of January officers were called to the scene by members of the public who had been trying to assist with rescuing a male from the water.
A number of arrests have been made by Police in relation to this incident. Three males have been charged with Murder and are currently on remand ahead of trial which is set for July 2026.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Stott, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “We are appealing for any further information in relation to this incident and the people involved. We are particular interested if anyone had seen Conor earlier in the day or had been with him on the Thursday.”
