We’ve arrested three people after a man was shot in Birmingham last night.

Details of Incident

We’ve arrested three people after a man was shot in Birmingham last night.

We were called to Luna Springs just before 11.20pm to reports of a disorder where a gun had been fired, on the corner of Hack Street and Bromley Street.

A man aged 23 suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He remains under arrest in hospital on suspicion of violent disorder and will be questioned in due course.

A man aged 30 has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of a knife, while a man aged 20 has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

We remain at the scene today as we gather evidence, review CCTV footage and speak to witnesses.

Det Insp Stacey Follows, from our Major Crime Unit, said: “We’re in the very early stages of the investigation, but have made good progress already. It’s believed the disorder started inside the venue and then spilled out into the street, where the shooting happened.

“There were a lot of people present at the venue last night, and I need anyone who saw what happened or who has recorded or been sent any mobile phone footage to get in touch as soon as possible so that we can identify and arrest everyone involved as soon as possible.”
