Operation Redfox

Tackling serious violence and gang activity in Wolverhampton

Details of Incident

A new operation has launched in Wolverhampton to identify those involved in organised crime, gang activity and related violence. We’re asking for people to share information, footage or concerns they have about related issues across the city.

We're carrying out targeted activity to disrupt gang activity and arrest those involved in violence.

We want our open spaces to remain places for all our communities to enjoy, and not be fearful of going.

Through #OpRedfox we're acting on information to execute warrants and have a high visibility in hotspot areas.

This includes in and around the city centre, Whitmore Reans, East Park, Heath Town, Bilston and Staveley.

We'll carry out operations including knife arches at prominent locations, but we will also be educating young people around the dangers of being involved in gangs and violence.

It's not glamorous and can put your own life at risk, as well as the lives of others. By getting involved in crime you face going to prison and having a criminal record which impacts on your life prospects. If your friend or loved one is involved they run the risk of lengthy prison sentences and serious injury as a result of their actions. It’s not worth the risk.

This is a dedicated website where you can securely share information, video (such as mobile phone, doorbell or dashcam footage), images, and other details that may help us to make the city safer.
