Detectives investigating the fatal house fire on Birchington Avenue, Grangetown, at 0520hrs on Wednesday 26 August 2026 are appealing for information from the public.   We are asking anyone who was in the area during the hours leading up to, or immediately following the incident to contact police if they saw anything unusual or have any information which may assist the investigation.   Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam, Ring doorbell, or other video footage which may be relevant. No matter how insignificant information may seem, it could assist enquiries.
