Details of Incident

At 10.53pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 June), we were called by the ambulance service to reports of an injured man at Galsworthy Close, Doncaster.

Officers attended and found a 55-year-old man with a serious knife injury to his neck, with members of the public performing CPR.

He was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of the emergency services staff, the man sadly died.

His family has been informed and are being supported by officers.

It is reported that a number of people fled the scene before police arrival.

We are appealing for information to help us identify those responsible for this attack.

If you have any knowledge of who may have been involved, sharing this information with us or Crimestoppers, could help prevent another victim from coming to harm.”
