Officers are appealing for information form the public following an unexplained death in Macclesfield.

At around 6.48pm on Friday 18th July, Police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman at an address in Pearson Street, Macclesfield. Officers and Paramedics attended and a 72 year old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently being treated as unexplained while Officers conduct enquiries in relation to the incident.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Hutcheon said

"We are in the early stages of our investigation to establish the exact circumstances of what has happened and at the current time it appears this is an isolated incident.
