Op Begrain is the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s investigation into the clinical practices of Michael Watt, former Consultant Neurologist.

Michael Watt worked for the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and also held private clinics at Hillsborough Private Clinic and the Ulster Independent Clinic.
Police have set up a dedicated online reporting form for any former patient or their representative who wishes to report their concerns regarding their medical treatment by Michael Watt to the police.
This form will take you through a number of key questions and is available 24 hours a day.

What happens after I make a report?
If you have used the online reporting form on the Major Incident Public Portal and entered your email address, you will be emailed your MIPP reference number.
In the weeks following your report, you will receive a letter by email from the investigation team explaining how you can contact the team in the future and outlining you what the next steps will be.
