We were called at 8.19am today (Tuesday 5 May), after a member of the public found the body of a man on a roof garden at a block of flats in Redcliff Street, Bristol.

Officers attended the scene and an investigation has been launched.

The man’s death is currently being treated as suspicious. A forensic post-mortem examination will be held to determine how the man died.

Urgent enquiries are underway to identify the man, so his next of kin can be updated and supported.

Scenes of crime officers are carrying out forensic enquiries and officers are reviewing CCTV and other footage.

House-to-house enquiries will also be completed, and our Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be conducting visible patrols in the area to reassure the public.
