Appeal for information regarding a silver MG ZS registration plate ND70EVN
Details of Incident
Detectives in Essex investigating the murder of a man are appealing for information about a car they believe he was last seen in.
A man in his 20s was found seriously injured in a car park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire on Monday 22 June.
He was taken to hospital but, sadly, later died. We believe he had been assaulted and his death is being treated as murder.
Experienced detectives have been piecing together the circumstances which led up to him being found injured and they believe he was in the Waltham Abbey/Waltham Cross area before he was assaulted.
He had last been seen in a silver MG ZS, with the registration plate ND70 EVN, but this vehicle has not been located.
We are now asking for the public’s help to trace this car.
Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood, who’s leading the investigation, said: “We are at the early stage of our investigation, but we are very keen to find the silver MG ZS that the victim was in before his disappearance and subsequent death.
“We believe he was last in the Waltham Abbey or Waltham Cross area, and it is possible that his vehicle has been abandoned somewhere locally.
“I would ask the local community to look for this vehicle parked at the roadside, carparks or secluded areas and contact us if they see it.”
A man has been arrested as part of the investigation and subsequently released on bail.
