The care provided to mothers and babies who died or suffered serious harm following Maternity care at the NUH Trust is currently the focus of an independent police investigation, Operation Perth.

An independent review of maternity services at the trust is currently ongoing via the Ockenden Review. Operation Perth commenced on 2nd April 2024 and continues to engage with families, individuals, organisations and services to identify cases which meet the threshold for a police investigation.
