Details of Incident

Officers in Rochdale who are investigating a shooting which occurred in the district are appealing for witnesses and information following the incident.

At around 3.20pm on Thursday 5 March 2026 we were called to reports of a shooting on Beswicke Royds Street, Rochdale.

Upon arrival at the scene, our officers located a man with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The 19-year-old victim has been taken to hospital with injuries described as life-changing but not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.

We are appealing for witnesses, anyone with information or who have CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage around the area at the time.
