Detectives from the Met's Specialist Homicide Command are appealing for information following the fatal shooting of 25-year old Auguste-Marie Bile aka Amoa in Stockwell.

Police were  called at approximately 9.58pm on Monday 10 August 2026 to reports of a shooting in Willington Road, SW9. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found Bile aka Amoa suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency services he died at the scene.

A second man attended hospital later that evening with gunshot injuries and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officers believe several members of the public may have witnessed events before, during, or after the shooting. Detectives are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the Willington Road, Landor Road, Cottage Grove or surrounding Stockwell area between 9.30pm and 10.15pm.

Investigators are also keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, doorbell footage, dashcam footage, photographs or video recordings which may assist the investigation. No matter how insignificant it may seem, your information could prove vital.
