Staffordshire Police have launched a gross negligence manslaughter investigation into the quality of care provided at Highfield Court in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

On 25 January 2024, concerns over the quality of care provided to a resident at Highfield Court were reported to us. Since this initial report, we have been working collaboratively with Staffordshire County Council, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) to investigate these concerns.

Highfield Court closed in February 2024 and is no longer operational.
