Double Fatal Shooting Moss Side

GMP are appealing for information from the public with regards to two fatal shootings which occurred in the area of the car park on Caythorpe Street, Moss Side approximately 00:55 hours on Sunday 21st June 2020.


Details of Incident

Operation Tarnbrook is the investigation into a fatal double shooting at a gathering within an enclosed car park between Caythorpe Street and Broadfield Road in Moss Side. This occurred on 21st June 2020 approximately 00:55am.

 

Two males were shot and received fatal injuries; Abayomi Hendewe AJOSE (36 years) and Cheriff Muhammed Habib TALL (21 years). Cheriff had a nickname of 'Cherry'.

 

Approximately 300-400 people were in attendance on the night so it is expected that someone will have seen what occurred. As such, Detectives from the Major Incident team would encourage those people to get in touch as even the smallest bit of information may prove vital to the investigation. Detectives are particularly interested in any mobile phone footage people may have from the event and more specifically from midnight onwards. Anyone with footage or information is to please provide this electronically via this portal. It may be that people do not realize the significance of what they have, but to the investigation team it may provide a vital piece of the jigsaw.
